The announcement that Wills & Kate will marry on April 29th has seen a rash of holiday forms handed in at work this afternoon. Assuming you don't work weekends or Bank Holidays, it's only necessary to book April 26,27,28th and the four days after Mayday Monday to get a total of seventeen days off work - result or what ?

assuming your workplace will give you the suggested public holiday. There will be no need for them to do so at all.

arses.

Taking 3 weeks off from the 8th to the 28th!

I could have saved quite a bit of holiday if we'd organised it for later, and missed the "festivities" to boot.

Ah well. I'll get an easy slide back into work.

If Liz pegs out whilst doing the lambada at the reception we'll get a day off the following week also.

Just looked at the dates properly. Substitute my arses for woo!

Hadn't even realised when Easter was.

I'm getting 24 days off for the price of 12! Leaving on the evening of the 8th, was due to be back at work on the 28th, but not much point given the 29th BH. May as well stay out till the Monday! And I miss the wedding, plus the build-up!

Thank you Raindog for the realisation. High point of my day!
