As per the title, I'm after a Standard Definition (SD) camcorder with a Hard Disk Drive for taking MTB footage mainly. I'm hoping to get something for around the £200-250 mark or less, ideally.

If possible, something robust but lightweight and compact would be good, as I'll be carrying it in a rucksack on the bike at least some of the time.

Some which look interesting at Jessops/Amazon are:
Sony DCR-SR35E Hard Disc Drive Handycam Camcorder (30gb)
JVC GZ-MG275EK Hard Disk Camcorder (30gb)
JVC GZ-MG330R Slim HDD/microSD Hybrid Camcorder (30gb)
Panasonic SDR-H40 40GB Hard Disk Camcorder (??gb)

Have any STWers got any recommendations, for camcorders, good camcorder shops/websites, or both?

Thanks.

I just got the panasonic.

If you want quality, stick with tape and come back to domestic HDD cams in 5 years - it's pish.
