I was sitting here, bored and got to thinking 'can I scan Willow with my phone?'

So I did. And nothing of any note happened at all. So from this I can possibly conclude that she is not a cyberhound and that her chip cannot be detected by NFC devices.

I've never tried scanning a dog - seen a few cat scans though

Its worth noting that a scanner, a laminator and a shredder can all look very similar but they don't work in the same way.

Don't think it's NFC for animal chips: some other flavour of RFID.

Those pictures of the cat has reminded me of a certain Mumsnet thread.

Meanwhile, in other animal related news. I have been looking after the neighbour's chickens and ducks. Unfortunately we are a chook down compared with yesterday. Either that or it is doing a very good Norwegian Blue impression 🙁

Did you remove the item from the bagging area first?

It's probably a knock-off from ebay. You want a superchips one.
