I'm trying to get a rough idea of scaffolding costs before tomorrow. Hopefully someone on here will know something.

To work on the roof of a three storey house you would need scaffolding? I'm fairly certain there's no other way to do it but I need to check.

Secondly how much would it cost roughly? I have a figure of £2k, does that seem reasonable?

Ta,

Jon

What kind of work on the roof? If it is a quick repair a cherry picker may be enough. However if its a bigger job scaffold will be required.

Price does depend on various factors but £2K seems about rightish but you may need street permit, lighting and or protection around scaffold.

Get a few quotes as price for my hire ranged vastly.

Probably just front, mostly because I'm not sure you could build scafofolding at the back. The work is putting some lead up, repairing a chimney and replacing some guttering. Not something I'd do on a ladder.

Nor a tradesman.

Should get a cherry picker for about £350.00 p/w - if not aluminium tower will go that high say £100.00 p/w
