is there an actual point to the SAW films or is it just mindless blood and gore and sick humour?
Watched a little of it last night, thought mindless stupid gore, turned over to watch Blade instead!!

I agree, i used to be able to watch horror in the early eighties when the video shops first sprang up 😯
Not any more though, i find it very upsetting, theres enough pointless horror in the world.
Should have stopped after the second one. Watched 3 at the cinema with a mate who really wanted to go, found it pointless. Watched a pirate copy of 4 and was glad I didnt shell out for the cost of a cinema ticket. Not even considering 5 or 6.
jeez, if you dont like mindless gore etc then wtf are you doing watching a horror film? these sort of films aren't exactly going to deliver any intellectual stimulus are they.
horror films (nightmare on elm st, friday 13th etc etc) and torture porn (saw, hostel etc) aren't the same thing... all these saw type things are absolute cr@p. no redeeming features/social commentary subtext/satire about them whatsoever, just nasty pointless muck.
Liked the first one.

first one is hide-behind-the-sofa-aaaaargh-don't-want-to-look-but-have-to-aaaargh-why-am-I-watching-this-aaaaarggh-can't-look-away good
the rest are formulaic-pants-gore-fest-it's-way-past-bedtime rubbish
I like 'em.
First one is excellent a thriller more than a gore, second is ok but watched the third last night and it was pointless should have stopped at one.
