My office do a thing called "Savoury Friday" where each week 2 people are nominated to make savoury snacks for the rest of the office. My turn this week so suggestions please.

I'm doing it with an Italian lad who is making pasta salad so some thing to go with that would be good but not essential. Not too expensive and easy to make for abotu 40 people.

Matt

Fourth'd on the Cheese front,
Where's Big Pete? we need him to tell us of his 1001 unusual cheese food combinations! He had us in stitches the other week with his tales of cheese based dishes.

Rice and eggs. Cook sushi rice, scramble some eggs, mix together and compress it into squares. Wrap around strips of seaweed if you want to get fancy.

Easy to do loads of it which will feed a lot of people.

Cheese and sliced meats.

Although the 70s vol au vent idea has some merit. Scare the crap out of people with it.

Vol-au-vent roulette?

Vol-au-vents with a nice creamy chicken sauce. Put a big blob of sambal (or similar) at the bottom of a few of them.

Savoury Friday?

What a damn stupid idea - I would play no part in such unsavoury office-based food antics.

Cheese scones.
Just add mustard powder and strong grated cheese to the dry mixture before kneading.
