anyone ever used/got one - is it any good on these dark mornings?
Do a search mate there was a good thread a few weeks ago. They have a reasonably priced one in Maplin for £40 I was thinking of getting although haven't felt the need for one so much now that christmas is over.
ah, great, found it thanks (always forget to change the search from 1 month to anytime).
Anyone tried a daylight bulb in bedside lamp on a timer?
(the usually annoyingly slow warm up time to full brightness sounds perfect for a gradual wake up).
What wattage is the one to go for?
I like the one I got.
The only downside is I feel awful about an hour after getting up....but that is probably having to go back out in the dark and drive
Before xmas I spent a week in the sun in Sharm el Sheik, much better than a light bulb 😉
Hello, thread mentioned above is at this link.

I got a lumie in the end and am sat by it right now. Definatley helps. We bought an expensive on at £200 but my brother just bought an alarm clock Phillips one for about £50 and said it's really good. They are great though. I noticed a difference within a few days and only really use it for about 30 mins and at the moment I'm not using it every day, just now and then and it's still helping me'. HTH
Edit: sorry, missed your post saying you found it! Not tried light bulbs, have stuck with planet friendly ones although they are awful for giving out dim light! B
