I captured these images of this iconic venue and landmark on fire last night as it was tackled by fire fighters from across the island!

It was a said thing to witness as its a successful business and there was a wedding reception on there at the time. Turns out the wedding party's fire works caused the actual fire itself!

Ex-caukhead here, and I still care about the old place. My parents 40th wedding anniversary do was held at the Castle.
Thinking about it, most of the icons of my youth have vanished.

Newport Hall (played our best gig there)

Shanklin Bus station
ZANIES !

Blackgang Chine (well, nearly gone)

And every time I go back to Shanklin it seems the oneway system has changed. And don't get me started about Newport...
