Coming up to my final exams ever (I hope), so I've been told I shouldn't ride my bike. Instead I've have taken up running for a week or 4.
All the running playlists on the internet seem to have been created by 12 year olds/30 year old single females. Has the STW massive got any suggestions for good running songs? Thanks bye.
Some songs off Rocky and Forest Gump soundtracks?
Ferry Corsten (trans)
Go on iTunes or Amazon: now that's what I call running
One of these has 2 discs: rock and dance?
Fleetwood Mac - go your own way?
Tom Petty.
KISS - Rock N Roll All Nite. I find it's got just the right beat.
Joe Esposito - You're The Best. Pure cheese but works
Prodigy - i've got Fat of the Land, Music for the Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land on shuffle. Great to run too. Also good for hill repeats.
Woodkid - Run Boy Run
Kraftwerk
No really,
Depends how far you're running. Something like a Pixies album, bit of Black Sabbath, ACDC is great for an hour or so. But after a while the impact can drop a bit - I actually found listening to a comedy podcast to be a great bet, with some strategically placed RATM, ACDC etc for an energy boost
The sound of a pack of rabid dogs chasing you (with a bit of imagination) could work.
Lots of good shouts, cheers! Prodigy and RATM had been overlooked in the playlist so far, will have a trawl and see what fits my pace.
acidchunks - I have a very mainstream taste when it comes to dnb, so theres a little Pendulum and early Chase and Status on the list but that's probably enough for me 8)
Deep House - "Naked Music' vols 1,2 and 3 are old favourites, no brain power required just
flows and the beat keeps on, relaxing and motivating at the same time, weirdly. Plus you can imagine that you have pornstache whilst running. Unless you actually do have a pornstache, in which case you're probably listening to this anyway.
MoS have done a few compos called Running Trax
Oh yes and 'Abduction' by Eat Static, 'Leftism' by Leftfield, and various other showing my age goto LPs that were once on a walkman with cassette tape in it.
I had Faith No More on the go today, worked for me. (Which was just as well cos bugger all else did; how can an out-and-back run have a bloody headwind in both directions?!)
Birdsong
Malvern Rider - Liking that track, will have to give the compilations a listen.
1. Why have you been told you shouldn't ride your bike?
2. Why do you need music for running?
1. Bike riding involves more of a time commitment to pedal anywhere decent, need the time to revise. much easier to rush out for a quicky few km on foot
2. This is my first attempt at enjoying running and I'd much rather listen to some tunes that motivate me to carry on a bit further/faster, than listen to car engines and the sound of my own wheezing.

Or get some of their albums and listen to them. Great running music.I spent a year running to them a while back and didn`t get bored at all.
