How long does a pair of trainers last you?
and do you measure in miles or months/years?
Miles.
But would probably replace after a couple of years even if they had low mileage.
Ideally, I think the perceived wisdom is that they are supposed to last about 6 months. I'm tight, so I tend to push it a bit too far in mine - 9 months or so, by which time they are pretty much falling to bits, with tears and holes in the uppers and bits hanging of the sole.
I'm guessing, with my weekly milage, 6 months is probably equivalent to... 516 miles, apparently.
About 5-6 hundred miles.
About 3 months
I think you can feel when the cushioning is going, but its all dependant on how much you weigh, your running style, where you run, etc etc...
I only spend £35 each time so dont feel guilty about changing them
You only know when the cushioning has gone when you've bought a new pair
When they start screwing my knees/ankles up.
I've just spent £90 on a pair of innov8. So they better last! LoL
Inov8 and durability don't go together.....
Allegedly
Normally 'til i get injured, and then realise i've put 1000+ miles on them... (i.e. well over a year).
Miles if i'm running on a regular basis. I find I need the cushioning to be 100% and when it starts to go, I notice the difference. I’m in the middle of trying to decide if I go for lunar glide +3 or try the lunar elite... 😕
