I see people keep on saying Gatland is the front runner for the next England coach. Really? Why would Gatland do that?

I love the idea of Gatland trying to turn around the French but the language and culture would be too large a barrier (have they had a non-French coach?)

Cash, although I expect he has enough and will go back to NZ and either be the next All Blacks coach or not.

If he coaches England we are all ****ed!!

Is Gats favourite over Schmidt for the AB's job now?

Dont know, not sure Gats is that well liked back home, dont know about Schmidt. I just think apart from maybe Waikato the All Blacks is the only job Gats wants. Could be wrong though.

Pretty sure Schmidt is definitely heading home. I heard something about him having a son with epilepsy and that playing a part in his future decisions.

Schmidt is taking time out from coaching for family. Won't be next all black coach.
Gatland might be.
But they like to promote from within their own structures so more likely after another job back home first.
Can see England going for him too.

Rumour is that ROG will be joining France coaching team for the world cup.
Not defence 😉

French have never had a foreign coach. Which is weird as based on touring there a couple of times, EVERY club side down to amateurs have three Islanders/saffers. It’s gash, you have had wine for breakfast and pop your poor aching head up from the side of the scrum to see some 16 stone import has been given an inside pop by the 10.

So today, I get we are going to get grubbed by salaries, but could somebody please just crack Mario the Toby right in the puss again? That would be great.

Sorry, what rugby? No rugby this weekend is there? Can we get back to talking about Wales and the Grand Slam?

Fair point.
Someone said it was the worst 6N ever? If I was Italian then yeah, but even as an England fan I thought that was an excellent tournament. Lots of incredible games, it was wide open until the 4th weekend, a rollercoaster. Loved it.

Less of this 6N please. On the way to Dublin more in hope than expectation. Was hoping Sexton would be fit and continue his 6N form😀

I was at the AJ Bell last nice to see Sale beat Connacht. Dire second half, really marred by the shocking injury to their prop in the last minute. Ref was seemingly trying to let play restart as the bloke was being helped off the pitch spewing his guts up and his mangled had wrapped in a towel.

Just turned the Munster game on, looking forward to it and good to see Barclay back for Edinburgh.

Today my heart says both Edinburgh and Glasgow will win. My head says Edinburgh will win an attritional battle. Glasgow will lose out in a much more exciting game.

If anybody’s wondering who the man is, the answer is, “Keith Earls.”

He’s the man. 😀

Yes well played Munster relentless in defence. Only a couple of moments of real individual class in the game and they came from Earles.

And we'll played Sarries, a real thumping. Poor defence from Glasgow at times.

Here DD was at a Q and A with Stockdale last week and he was saying Earls was the quickest in the squad by a mile. Well done today, let’s hope I can see the second half 😜

Gutted for Ulster, Stockdale and whoever it was who missed the conversion will be feeling pretty low!

To be fair AA there was a forward pass in the one we did score so probably fair enough. I thought we were fantastic given the shit last year so whilst disappointing not the end of the world.

Racing v Toulouse was a bit special.

How about this? Pornographic rugby.

Flash, every time you thought the Harlem Globetrotters stuff was done, along came another moment. Makes me miss the French international sides of the early 90’s. Some grit from Toulouse as well to hang on after it closed to one point. Game of the weekend.

I was at the Edinburgh / Munster game. although Edinburgh could have won and both Munster tries had controversial aspects Edinburgh just did not have the firepower in the backs to win.

With 20 mins to go and Edinburgh 13 10 up there seemed to be an inevitability about a Munster win. Earls final try was very well taken and in the end that was the difference. Edinburgh simply could not take their chances even tho they created a good few. Munster created less but took them when they came.
Our tactic of playing midgets to get high tackle pens came unstuck as the ref didn't give the pens when their giants attempted to decapitate our midgets!
Can't really complain about the result. Munster were the better team. Huge munster presence in the ground - - pretty much 50 / 50

Does anybody have a better highlight reel than Sonny Bill?

Henson obviously, I enjoyed the rugby league no arms shoulders to the face at the start and then switched off. Exactly the same as he did to Watson v Lions and got a red card!!!

Yeah but when he came into the NRL the shoulder charge was perfectly legal - he was probably the finest exponent of it and was one of the reasons it was subsequently outlawed.

To the head?

Well if you look at the NRL film from that era - it would appear to be so.

Arrggghhhh - edinburgh rugby. If they had a brain cell it would be lonely!
Penalty in the corner, Scarlets hooker get yellow carded. Less than 5 m out - go for the kick at goal and miss.
I think Cockers might be cross

I'll buy that for a dollar!

During the 6N Peter Stringer commented that Farrell was England's "Weakest Link". This attracted some derision but I think he was totally spot on.

I have said it for ages. Fine when things are going well. Liability when not and in both games totally outplayed by Russell the flake.
