Is it just me or was it painful for anyone else watching David Jason lowering himself like that?

I saw the trailer and came to the same conclusion, so didn't bother with the main show!

I kept watching hoping it would get better. Guess that makes you 30 minutes better off than me now.

I watched a reworking of The Borrowers which I thought was really quite good actually.

David Jason could probably take his pick of roles to play and he went and chose that pile of crap.

Yep
The DJ thing looked awful
Usually the more the BBC plug something the worse it will be

Turned it off after 20 minutes, seemed dire. First bad thing he's ever done? Hopefully the last

Utterly apalling in my opinion and a waste of my TV license money as usual. Shame as i like David Jason, he must surely have cringed at it?

I thought it was a bit cringe worthy but I did laugh when prince Philip got kicked in the face by a horse.

Trailers looked awful so avoided it. We started watching 'Lost Christmas' on iplayer - sort of Wonderful Life vibe with Eddie Izzard as the 'angel' - with the intention of watching about 40 mins and then turning over to watch Great Expecations. Ended up watching it all with the wife in floods of tears. Try to catch it, thought it was excellent.

Borrowers was good as well.
