I just bought a reconditioned Concept 2 rower from http://shop.rowgear.com/index.php?route=common/home

They're still not cheap, but cheaper than buying new and mine is in excellent condition, just needs a bit of paint to touch up one small area on the computer arm.

They are cheaper 2nd hand on Ebay, but obviously Rowgear add to the price by servicing it and then adding a 1 year warranty.

If you ever want to row, get a Concept 2. They hold their value pretty well too.

If you don't want to row, then what the hell are you doing with a rowing machine? Go running, swimming or ride your bike FFS.

HTH 🙂
