Had been spending evenings in shorts and T-shirts till tonight, but have succumbed and got a nice coal fire heating up the chimney this evening....

Most of mine are in a box in the loft, put away at the start of summer. Might have to dig it out at the WE....

Nice big lumps of Hawthorn on here, no noise but the ticking of the stove and it's great

Lit for the first time this evening.

Also spent the afternoon moving a delivery of logs off the drive and onto the woodpile.

Lit it yesterday as we have a plague house day 10 of puke bug and counting. Had to keep my daughter warm yesterday so on it went and stoked back up this am.

Tried lighting the cat for heat but he wouldn't have any of it; so gas fire on and cat now trying to set fire to himself by investigating it.

I wont turn the heating on until next month, but I have just lit the fire to give it a clean. THat's all. Honest.

Oh yes fire is on. 1 deg outside and first snow of the season on the tops of the mountains opposite. I am still in shorts and a t-shirt ๐Ÿ™‚

Yup fire on. Stupid house is freezing in winter and boiling in summer. You have go outside to cool off in summer.
