If Beckham was half as good at football as he is at promoting himself and making money, England would have won something by now.

would you like to qualify that with any statistical evidence ? personally, i'd have thought that beckham's contribution in terms of goal assists and workrate for all of the teams that he's played in has been considerable.
it's easy to slag beckham off because he's an unlikeable, over exposed celebrity but that has no bearing on his considerable talent, imho.
