I have a 'friend' who watched an audience with Rod Stewart. He is actually starting to like Rod Stewarts music. Is this wrong? (it does feel like it should be very naff/wrong) 😕

*just a note- I'll admit to cowboy boots but for the purposes of this thread there is no way that I am going to admit this 'friend' is me.

All I can say hora, is that its a bloody good job that you mentioned the cowboy boots before anyone else had a chance to. Have you considered a tache, or having streaks put in your hair? What about a saucy mullet? Are you in fact (and I'll whisper this next bit) German?

Rod was awesome in the late sixties. Check out Beck-Ola if you like the blues.

Hora why does your internet history show that you've spent the last six hours researching the cheapest place to buy leopard print leggings?

As mistercrud says - he just had a great voice for the blues on that Jeff Beck album

It so fukin is you hora. Look, it's ok to like Maggie May...but you're overstepping here.

Actually, I think I've got the ideal Rod song for you: The Killing of Georgie Parts I and II

Leavin' home on a Greyhound bus
cast out by the ones he loves
A victim of these gay days it seems

🙂

Is this the start of the end? 🙁

Will 'he' starting driving at 50mph in the middle lane next?

"He" is in illustrious company

http://www.rodstewartfanclub.com/about_smiler/info/star_reader.php

Just so you know - early Rod is quite acceptable (Faces, Maggie May etc), later he became an entertainer of the blue rinse brigade and was just in it for the money, so you[r friend] might want to have a look at that.

I could listen to that - would probably skip Amazing Grace.
Don't buy his stuff - the bugger's rich enough!

Rod Stewart - pah, great leopard sporting jessie. You need to butch it up a little hora, start listening to Queen. Ah, Freddie Mercury, now he was a PROPER man's man - luxurious tache, tight white trousers, it all screams man in his rawest essence.

RIP Freddy 🙁

God took the wrong [s]Gay[/s] one. If Freddy had lived what would he have done later on? I bet it wouldn't have involved slumping somewhere in a Range Rover.

Huge waste of a great voice - spent the last twenty years knocking out crappy covers albums when he should have been doing more of this.
With different trousers, obviously.

£70.00 a ticket to hear him murder 'The Great American Songbook'?
Give us a break.....
