Most of you probably don't care a hoot but this guy is a genius and you'll all have used his designs!

all my favourites are going Sottsass passed away a couple of years back. Anyway along with the garden chair you don't get anymore ubiquitous than his school chair.

I thought he died in 2000? Never did like those bow-ties of his.

Great designer, good innings too,couldn't be much different than Sottsass really in his designs.

Think my wife knew I was the geek for her when she saw my chair design books!

a great loss to a world of design where so many are just feeble copies of the likes of dupre lafon etc

RD was one of the greats. RIP

sadly not, enjoyed the social side of uni too much never graduated and ended up working in restaurants then retail/sales/purchasing in the bike and car trades

Still like my shiny nice things though and hopefully will use some of what I learned one day on some bike ideas I have
