Anyone had any luck in hiring a road bike in jersey. I am over for a couple of days and the Easyjet bike costs are silly. I am looking for a shop that hires a decent road bike by the day. The internet is full of places that do tourers or MTBs but I fancy a blast on the roads.

Don't know the answer to your question, but definitely do it. There's some quality road riding on the island for the size of the place, and the drivers are fantastic. I'm sure you'd quickly get bored if you lived there, but for a couple of days it's excellent.

You could try one of the cycling clubs - www.ccc.je or velo sport jersey. The proper lbs's might help - Pedal Power, Mark Pickford, Big Maggy's etc.
