Clarence Clemons, sax player in Bruce Springsteens 'E-Street' band amongst other things.

Lifelong Springsteen fan here. Very sad news indeed. Glad I went to see him last time he was in the country.

Sad to hear this. Had the good fortune to see him twice, Notts and Leeds many years ago.

Sad news indeed.

I knew he had a stroke last week but the reports were that he was stable and people were talking about recovery.

Great character. There can't be many people who've played with Springsteen and Lady Gaga!

Truely sad news, what a great musician. Saw him, and them, in Sheffield late 80's, most memorable gig ever. RIP, Clarence xx

Saw him a couple of times - Wembley Arena for The River tour (umm 84?) being an absolutely standout performance from the whole band, but the sax on Jungleland, words fail me, they really do.

Heard the news this morning. Great memories of him hamming it up with the Boss on the '81 tour. Mrs out so I'm spending the night reliving those glory days. RIP Big Man.
