Anyone else doing this?
Each day in the run up to christmas you put something (clothes, food, toys) in a box then take it to a shelter/ charity at christmas time.

Thought it was a good idea and little Dean seems like it as well (he does take the harvest festerval gathering to the shelter so has some idea of people worse off than him).

I'm doing this with my 7 year old lad too, it's been good to talk about the things we're putting in and why, and who may need them.

I've just told my kids just to knock on one door in the street* everyday in December and ask for chocolate. It's like a real world advent calendar.

*except the convicted paedophile at number 13, obviously**

**no, i'm not joking

I'd imagine he'd be more generous with sweets than the others.
