Any suggestion for a retro styled digital camera that looks like this?
Amazon-Olympus Pen E P1
but 90% cheaper?
IIRC smsung ones have retro styling, not to that extent though, and in black.

a hasselblad with digital back
sadly it doesn't quite fit the price criteria
i think the backs are about £15,000
If I could get one - then the Yashica EX F521

Leica

There's a few here ranging from "ooh, nice but pricey" to "HOW MUCH!!!!!"
I have one of those Yashicas. Somewhere. It's quite small and easy to misplace. Hmm… probably in a coat pocket.
Find one of these ! Very good spec and quality build. + looks like an old 35mm Compact.

Panasonic do a similar camera to the Pen, The Lumix GL-1, which is a lovely camera, very similar to a Leica, but for around half the price. Can't tell you how much I want one, interchangable lenses, DSLR size sensor, but subtle enough to use at gigs without getting the security all sniffy.

Get the M9 with the 1:0.9 Noctilux 🙂 You'll never regret it 🙂
If it makes the PENs price tag any more palatable, I understand Olympus are giving away the matching flash which retails around £150 for those that register their PEN via t'interweb.
