[Closed] Retrieving photos from damaged iphone
So outer little one decided this morning to pick up the other halfs iPhone & drop in a cup of tea this morning causing quite a bit of fizzing on the phones part.
It's sat drying out at the moment but I suspect it's not going to work again. All her photos are on there & just looked at iCloud on the pc but non of them have backed up.
Is there any way to get the photos off the damaged phone if it won't turn back on?
I very much doubt it.
Book an appointment with a "genius" perhaps?
If you plug it into a pc you may see a drive/folder in my computer/finder come up.
I'd avoid turning it on and take it to an expert.
Did you check the Settings on iCloud.com? Are there no photos showing in the storage either? (Not sure if Photo Sharing and Backup work independantly wrt what can be viewed in iCloud.com)
It sounds pretty terminal I'm afraid. Putting the phone in a bag of rice for 24 hours may help draw moisture out of the phone but if the circuitry is already damaged then it's a forlorn hope.
If the phone has been backed up using iTunes then there will be a backup image of the phone held in itunes. This may be a way to recover some of the images.
