[Closed] Renting somewhere in London...

I might be in London for 4 months or so, and there's a programme at work where instead of staying in hotels they give you an allowance and you can rent your own place.

Problem is, I'd need flexible terms and a short notice period, and the allowance is something like £2900/mo all in so a lot of serviced apartments are too much.

I can find serviced apartments at £70 ish per night, which is ok, but I don't really need maid service and all that crap. Anyone else done similar? What other options do I have? Short notice period is important, the shorter the better.
