This was in my last place. You'll need to join the pics together to get a full width pic

stoner would love to see it finished (more pics as the project progresses).

Ps. If I don a thick woolly roll neck jumper and speak in a posh accent could I come and comment on the build? 😀

Living rooms are for girls. Black it out & create a man-cave...

Well I've used dense plasterboard & lots of insulation all around, but I wasn't too bothered about sound proofing as it's a detached barn (not actually the living room at all).

Been at it since November. Hopefully be done in the autumn this year.

the office will be the nicest room 🙂

About 2/3 the way through plastering now. Just sorting out sourcing some underfloorheating then its time to insulate and screed the ground floor.

Not trade. But im a dab hand at specifying/project management/planning/budgeting/finance/designing etc...and I do know one end of a trowel from another. But to keep the walls straight and the plaster flat Im working with my mate who is a builder and another guy. I work 4 days a week on site and the other guys are there full time.

That's the nicest thing anyone's said to him in years...he'll be sat at home bursting with pride. I bet he's already told Mrs Stoner 🙂

How many other site radios do you know that are tuned in to BBC Radio 3 eh?

Does that make me an honorary socialist now?

I quite like this - not sure its relevant to you, but someone making the most of the space in a very small flat
space saving and modern I guess

I bet the lads love you for that. I do get funny looks when I turn the radio on in the mornings and tune in to Radio 4. I was on site once with a load of Sun/Star/Sport readers and took my Guardian out at tea time. It was possibly one of the longest weeks I've done...I wasn't let forget it.

Does that make me an honorary socialist now?

Well, I don't know...what's your answer to "How much for cash?"
