Forget wallpaper just blow your budget on a vico magistretti maralungi sofa.

stoner would love to see it finished (more pics as the project progresses).
Ps. If I don a thick woolly roll neck jumper and speak in a posh accent could I come and comment on the build? 😀
my sisters. Ours, with a couple of toddlers running riot, isn't worth showing at the moment 🙁

Living rooms are for girls. Black it out & create a man-cave...

intrigued by stoner and bedmaker's projects - we need more pics and details
pedalhead - is that sound proofed?
Well I've used dense plasterboard & lots of insulation all around, but I wasn't too bothered about sound proofing as it's a detached barn (not actually the living room at all).

About 2/3 the way through plastering now. Just sorting out sourcing some underfloorheating then its time to insulate and screed the ground floor.
wow! presumably you're in the building trade? did you do all the work yourself?
Not trade. But im a dab hand at specifying/project management/planning/budgeting/finance/designing etc...and I do know one end of a trowel from another. But to keep the walls straight and the plaster flat Im working with my mate who is a builder and another guy. I work 4 days a week on site and the other guys are there full time.
presumably you're in the building trade?
That's the nicest thing anyone's said to him in years...he'll be sat at home bursting with pride. I bet he's already told Mrs Stoner 🙂
Stoner the worlds poshest builder. 😉

How many other site radios do you know that are tuned in to BBC Radio 3 eh?
😉
dd - I'll be back in a minute once Ive changed my CV from "Banking Scum" to "Salt of the Earth Builder".
Does that make me an honorary socialist now?
I quite like this - not sure its relevant to you, but someone making the most of the space in a very small flat

I bet the lads love you for that. I do get funny looks when I turn the radio on in the mornings and tune in to Radio 4. I was on site once with a load of Sun/Star/Sport readers and took my Guardian out at tea time. It was possibly one of the longest weeks I've done...I wasn't let forget it.

Well, I don't know...what's your answer to "How much for cash?"
"How much for cash?"
If I dont charge and pay VAT how is society to pay for all those lesbian disabled outreach workers eh?
society
That would be BIG society wouldn't it 🙂
anyway, who am I kidding - I get my VAT back at the end of the build. £20k kick back! superb 🙂
