Why does every word I type have a red wriggly line under it! It only happens on forums, weird! Tried typing in word to check if it continued but all was fine, also ran my virus checkers and nothing came up all clear??? Any idea’s folks.

It's a spellchecker. It means you type like a gimp.

Coincidentally, I spotted about half an hour ago that Firefox seems to be defaulting to US English. Just installed a UK dictionary to sort it out.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3366/

(Right-click in the text box and go into 'languages' to change it after installation)

You're using a web-browser with a Finnish spell-checker?

Had to fire up Chrome to check.

Right click the text box, go to "spell checker options" and make sure it's set to UK.

Wait - did you say -all- words are underlined?

Sounds like the dictionary's corrupt, then.

Try going to %appdata%/Local/Google/Chrome/Application/Dictionaries/ and deleting the file en-GB-1-1.bdic , then rebooting.

(%appdata% is a system variable, it should resolve to the correct directory whether you're on XP or Vista / W7.)
