It's probably a daft question but can you record a DVD from one DVD player to another DVD recorder or do you need any special requirements.

Thought I would ask the question before I went out and bought 2 DVD recorders.

if you just mean you want to copy a dvd that you already have, it's far cheaper and effectively as fast to do it on a computer.

edit - and easier.

Sorry didn't make it clear, what i want to be able to do is record a live video feed onto two dvd 's at the same time to make two copies, ive hooked up one dvd recorder which works fine but someone said you couldnt just link one dvd to the other.

You'll probably need to split the output into two and then hit record on both DVD recorders, rather than run into DVD1, out, and into DVD2.

Though why not run the feed into a computer, and burn the DVDs afterwards in about 4 minutes. You'll then also have a computer backup.

Doesn't the recorder record to HDD first?

you can then make as many hard copies as you like
