As above, really just for surfing checking emails and watching films on while away. Budget about £200.
Thanks in advance

They dont have a dvd drive so you would have to preload films. Most dont have bluetooth if you need that for syncing your phone.

We went for a packard bell last year because it came with the biggest harddisc and photo editting software. in hindsight the mouse buttons are the best to use. I have a 20quid usb dvd drive from ebay that works with it fine.

In reality all much of a muchness, find one with the few little extras you need.

Really pleased with my Samsung N140 I got a couple of years ago. Many friends, collegues and my father have all followed suit with various newer Samsung models and are all really pleased with them. Look for 10.1 screen, min 80% keyboard and dont be afraid to buy a bit more RAM seperatly and stick it in yourself. Mine does the stated 10 hours battery in battery saver with no wifi, bluetooth etc. Very impressive and with my iphone and 3G dongle I travel all over and am really happy.

Mouse pad on Dell's netbooks are pants!
