Just treated myself to an iPod touch as my nano bit the dust. I'm amazed at what this thing can do. Can you recommend some applications and games?

The one that gives you all the football results, you can read BBC livetext of matches too.
Although this is probably a Marmite app.

TivoliTV+ is handy if you've got Sky+ and you want to record a programme quickly, or you're down the pub, but obviously you need the wifi access. Same goes for Flickster, which will give you all the cinema listings for local cinemas. WunderRadio gives you streaming radio for stations all over the world, including all the BBC national and local ones. Stanza and ereader are excellent, you can download ebooks from either free or pay sites, and an awful lot of classic fiction is available free from the Gutenberg Project. I've got getting on for a hundred books on my 'Phone. Wordbook is a really good dictionary, Tiltmeter Pro is very useful for checking levels...
There's loads out there, have fun. 😀

Virtually all the above are free apps and can be got in the lite version. I rarely pay for apps unless they are very good.

BBC iPlayer

Web App rather than App Store app. Just go to the normal iPlayer site. It should give you a nice mobile optimized version. Then press the + button and tap "Add to Home Screen"
