Consider also Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz in that area.

We stay at Camping L'Escale in Le Grand Bornand and it works really well for us with kids. For the last two years we've had one of their mobile homes. This year we're in a large apartment on the campsite with another family. Don't be put off by the caravan thing - they're very well insulated and heated.

There's a ski bus to the main lift and lockers at the bottom. Ski school meeting point is at the top of the main lift. We use the Mom'en ski service so we drop kids off at 9:30. They have a lesson from 10 to 12:15 then they get lunch and kids club 'til 2pm when we pick them up. We've then got the choice of skiing with them for a bit (now they're ok on lifts) or going back to the campsite to spend the afternoon in the pool with them.

Don't go to Chamonix with kids. Too many buses, queuing, and carrying gear. Ideally somewhere close to the slopes. Flaine, La Clusaz and Grand Bornand are all good. Avoriaz would be good too.

I can email you some prices for March if you like. Tis an easy drive if you use the toll roads, adds about £50ish to the cost but dead easy and doable in 7/8 hours once you leave Calais/boulgne,there's a garage at the apt too so you can put the car away once your there. 🙂 Chatel is very kid friendly too, lots of my mates take there kids out with em.Should i send it to the email address in your profile?

Sorry if stating the obvious but there are plenty companies doing good half board deals at the moment. In Feb this year i went B&B just myself and mates and it cost a fortune eating out with the way the euro is. Taking the family on a cheap HB deal with Rocketski his year. Also worth checking out Alpine elements
