Now I am not a music lover as such, however have found myself enjoying riding and listening (although scary when someone just appears next to you smiling whilst riding).
Although not a muso, I tend to like most genres, however swedish house mafia were really doing it for me today. Therefore want something with a good tempo, but not too 18 year old ravey. Nearly bought the david bowie platinum collection but then thought im only 32!

The Running Trax albums are good, also anything by the Chemical Brothers (especially Star Guitar).
Fast riding?
Mountain biking = anything, it doesn't really matter on the fast bits, and if they are at all technical, tunes actually slow you down.
Road = bomb the bass, clear. Prodigy, jilted generation
