We are looking at options for a week trip to the alps next year, four blokes and a load of climbing gear, so something like a Renault Senic or Mondeo from Geneva Airport (or nearby). Has anyone got any car hire gems to pass on. As cheap as possible. Compare websites etc etc.
Are you better off booking well in advance or the day before?
Previously we've used Europcar and got a Renault senic for £300 for 2 weeks, which I thought was a bargin.
ive did this in the summer....my travel agent kept changing the booking as the price fluctuated between the 2 on a weekly basis.....thats a very good price! i got a meriva for 10 days for £350 in the end....
That renault senic price was 9 years ago tho. And like your travel agent, I kept phoning Europcar and they gave me a different price each time.
I generally find that if you book with the ceapest then so does everyone else. Meaning a humungous queue at the pick-up point, while the firm next door, which may have been only £5 more, is empty.
