Just listened to "The girl with the dragon tattoo" and "The girl that played with fire" and enjoyed them both. So can STW gang recommend another book to listen to in the car that they think I may like.
Cheers All
Hitchikers guide.... the original radio programme! Nothing else compares!
Gulliver Travels read by Robert Hardy.
Very, very good.
The missus listens to loads of these. She recommends
Salmon fishing in the Yemen
Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China
The Reader
The Wasp Factory (alright that one was me)
'The Woman in Black' by Susan Hill
'Neverwhere' by Neil Gaiman
The two 'Dirk Gently' books by Douglas Adams

Wonderful wonderful riveting brilliant nautical adventure from pre WW1, suit you Captain
The most unlikely stuff enthralls, 10 hours driving back from France listening to Margaret Thatcher's memoirs went by in no time.
I highly recommend the "Selected Shorts" program from public radio (here in the US). Short stories read by various people, performed in front of a live audience. Available as a free podcast if you do that sort of thing.
The entire Scarpetta series (by Patricia Cornwell). A bit gruesome at times.
and don't forget "The 39 Steps" by John Buchan. Another ripping yarn of derring do, mystery and adventure.
Round Ireland with a Fridge, by Tony Hawks (comedian, not skateboarder)
"All Points North" by Simon Armitage, read by the author, is excellent.
"Life of Pi" by Yann Martell (?)
