Ok... after dropping my wallet outside the car last night I was greeted with a soggy excuse this morning on the way out.

So who's seen something cool? not fussed about material but remember if it carries coins it's a purse! I want a wallet!! maybe something slim tastic but wacky is cool...

Go on then.....

I have a fatface wallet which looks after my moths quite nicely.

(I couldn't get the linky to work for some reason)

I had a ducti one...it looked rubbish in a few weeks.

Just get a nice simple leather one...

http://allycapellino.co.uk/euston.html

has a "purse" coin area though...(where do you put your lose change? Or are you loaded, and don't have any?!)

Ok cheers peeps some good ideas, keep em coming.

Just to clarify I'm a bloke, I have pockets and I put my change there. I don't wear skirts or dresses without pockets so the need for a purse is beyond me. I want to be able to but the wallet in my back pocket without feeling I've sh1t myself or Ive just stolen the contents of a parking meter.

I have a jimi wallet they are okay but will not hold the bank card AA membership card ID card and money and change. Just use your normal wallet and put it in a small dry bag (Gelert do a wallet sized one for a £1)

Both come in other colours and are made from 'Italian' leather

I have a mulberry wallet which I have had for years and it still looks good. Highly recommended but I think rather expensive now and after all it is just a wallet.

My jimi currently contains a bank card, an RAC card, a pikey PAYG topup card, an oystercard, a couple of reciepts, a cinema ticket, two old train tickets and (best of all) a tenner! 🙂

Best of all it survives getting soaked in my pocket every day on the commute, and in the camelbak every weekend in the peak. Love it.

Not very classy though, if class is your thing.

Another happy Jimi user here. The best thing about it is that it has cut down the amount of crap I carry around in my wallet. 🙂

Get yerself to TK Maxx and see what they've got - that's where mine come from - there's usually (especially this time of year) a decent selection of nylon 'Animal' type stuff, to quality designer leather stuff.....

Good link Danny - those Tyvek things are ace.

If they ever do a Harry Beck London Tube map one (rather than that Vignelli-defying NY subway one) I'll be all over it.

I hate keeping loose change in my pockets (what if you need to do a handstand or something?), but really want a slimline billfold wallet. I can't bring myself to have a separate coin purse like my dad either though.

It's a proper dilemma.

I got bought a Paul Smith wallet by my brother for being his best man and it was really nice, but.....it was a weird size. When opened out, a £10 note would JUST fit into it unfolded but required some fiddling to squeeze it in and a £20 was way too big for it.

I've got a nice Ted Baker one now - about £30 from John Lewis; plain black with a pressed 'ted baker' logo on the front and a nice patterny lining in the money bit.

Jimi wallet here as well. Used to carry all sorts of crap around in a really nice Oakley wallet, but all the loose change busted the zip. Now my Jimi has an Oyster Card, my photo drivers licence, three bank cards, folded paper money, a couple of cafe loyalty tickets and sometimes a carpark ticket. Loose change goes into a couple of old cloth sunglasses bags, the outer one's full of holes now...
Actually on my second Jimi, the hinge finally broke after several years use, now got a bright orange one. Love it.

I'm baffled at how so many people want to carry change in a wallet. Have you no pockets?! I can't even begin imagine how much of a faff it must be to have to start digging out a wallet and unzipping things every time you're taken short for a Mars bar or vending machine coffee. Plus, the sheer volume of change I accrue over the course of the day, there's no way I'd get it all in a wallet without it bulging ridiculously. It wouldn't work for me.

Anyway. Inspired by this thread, I've just been out and bought a new wallet as my old one is somewhat battered. Got pretty much exactly this, £13 in TK Maxx. Feels like really nice, good quality stuff.

I've had a couple of the leather allett (sp?) billfold wallets . clever design and really thin. they were marketed as the worlds thinnest wallet... Recommended by me!

My Jimi wallet was rubbish. The little clip bit at the top broke after a week so it wouldn't close properly. Rest of it lasted about a year though. Think I might just ahve been unlucky....

That gets carried in a Kangaroo scrotum, a present from Brother-in-law in Perth.

May I be the first to suggest Aspinal of London for a classy leather wallet?

used to have a really nice, small and simple M&S Italian wallet. I was really happy with it until some jakey nicked it after it fell out of my pocket on the bus. M*therf*cker.

Currently using a gaffer taped IKEA Oyster card thingy. Does the job I guess....
