I would appreciate some feedback from you photo types.
I haven't got a clue what to look for!

The Jessops own brand come highly recommended, you wont get the power or options of the Nikon own brand but it would get you started.
I have a Nissin Di622 that I use as I can't justify the cost of a proper speedlight from canon and think it's brilliant and still haven't upgraded. I have flash zoom, TTL, manual and wireless sync.
Just make sure you get one suitable for a Nikon digit camera, the hotshoes are different and you can't use old film ones (well you can't with Canon, not sure about Nikon)

I have a Jessops one for my 7000. It's not bad, only downside is the plastic foot which I can see breaking before too long
