It's about time I digitised my films and slides, I won't use the word archive as I'm sure they'll outlast whatever medium I transfer them onto and I wouldn't want to set of SFB et al on the old digital v film debate. 🙂

So it's mostly B/W 35mm neg and slides with a small amount of colour neg. I don't need to publish any of this but I would like reasonable quality otherwise it doesn't seem worth bothering. I've probably got in the region of 300 or so films to do and I do want to scan everything rather than just ones I've printed from before so it needs to be reasonably quick.

I picked up a canoscan3000 for just under £300 on ebay. its done a great job on my slides and negs.

The Epsom V700 are worth a nose, might cost you 350-400 but its a great bit of kit.
