The Well (Cottage) has a lovely lawned garden - going back again at Easter ๐
looks nice...although I said I was open to suggestions I have now been told that 5 hours+ of driving is out of the question ๐
So 3 hours of driving...I'm going to be limited to North Wales, North Yorks, Linconshire and southern Scotland...could 'accidently' end up in the 7 stanes region !
Loads here on the North Yorkshire coast.
Hell both the houses right next door to me are Holiday Cottages, and 7 over the road are.

The nearest sandy beach would be Runswick Bay, there are cottages available there for holiday lets. Also try Sandsend near Whitby which has a lot of cottages available.
Biking wise theres the Moors, Guisborough Woods and Dalby all within 1hr

St Cyrus - can't recall the name of the place but we got a 3 bedroomed cottage right on the cliff edge overlooking an amazing beach - path down to beach right at cottage.
The cottage was split into 2, so you hvae a single roomed cottage on one end and the other 2 were combined into a larger single unit - the 3 cottages were all joined i.e. 1 building.
Amazing place...spent a long weekend there a few years back with some mates...the beach was superb...but I didn't booked it so can't recall it's name...
The link on GoogleMaps isn't bad but doesn't give any names - http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll=56.774551,-2.398968&spn=0.010946,0.026071&t=h&z=16 - that should show the 3 cottages in the centre of the map., the grass between the cottages and the beach is cliff...
Stayed here a number of times http://www.castellmarch.co.uk/ great place.
