I'm on a roll!
Sold an old Trek road bike for +45% for the price I paid very 2nd hand some 3-4yrs ago.
Tonight it's my 3rd hand CD player that's gone for £1300+ and I paid £1100 several years ago.
One more 2nd hand bike on eBay right now and it's up to what I paid for it already with 2hrs to go.
It's a bidding war out there and as a seller I'm doing rather well!
Show off.
I bought an old transit a few years ago for £470, sold it 12 months later for £900.
If you buy right second hand and sell in the right way and time, you can usually make a few bob
The bike sold for +40% too.
Amazed.
Now, what else can I strip out & sell?!
So when will you be posting that bidders 1, 2 & 3 pulled out because you wouldn't post it to their Aunty to Nigeria, or something like that? 😉
I have found this! Sold some Kenda Small Blocks, new but steel bead. Offered them on here for £20 posted, sold on ebay for £47!!
Although fees will sting you, ebay is good for selling!
2nd bike sold for + 35% above what I paid for her 3 years ago.
The CD player is circa 1995 and fetched £1300+ which I'm very pleased with.
Re: Nigeria and Italy, establish that TNT (other international couriers are available) will be the courier and it's AOK. As long as the package has an on-line tracking system and a sign-for at the other end and Paypal can track & trace the package on line after its delivery then you will not be liable for any "loss".
Wow I have never been so lucky usually the other way hence why I dont use ebay.
its not the fear of not making money on Ebay because you generally do but its the fees and Paypal that leaves a bitter taste.
Well done though!
1300 for a S/H CD player???
What was it a CDX2? CDS3? 808?
hmmmm, I need to get my scuba gear flogged.....
ebay is wonderful especially when the fever sets in
