I had one recommended by a friend, but they turned out to be cobblers.

How much is an average pair of those Templemans? The prices seem to be top secret.

Guessing £5k+?

Ducker & Son. The Turl, Oxford.

I've got 20+yr old shoes from them that are still going strong.

Much of the cost is the making of the last; might as well get two pairs. Trickers are another good bootmaker..
Like the Captain, I have a few aging pairs from Duckers, but a little older.

Have a turnbull and asser pair which have lasted amazingly for a pair of suede brogues, v comfy indeed. Not sure if they still do shoes though

Does anyone seriously have toes that go to end of those things?
