Looking to tap into the STW wisdom here for some ideas and suggestions for a new sleeping bag. I want something fairly compact for taking bivvying with the bike that has a comfort temp of pretty close to if not less that 0deg so 3-4season min. I'm allergic to feathers so down bags are out of the question.

Been looking at the Vango Ultralite 400, anyone have any experience of this? Ideally wouldn't want to spend more than £80 but could push that slightly.

Maybe a Softie Chrysalis Tera?

around, or just below budget.

i have an ultralight 100 and it's a pretty decent bag. not warm but thats why i bought it 😉

400 seems like it has a shoulder baffle (unlike the 100) which is what i would want in a warmer bag.

looks decent enough...

I was out with a chap a few weeks ago who was using an Ultralight 200 bag. It was the start of Aug, he was in a tent, he had a good full length mat, he slept in his clothes ... he was cold.

i've been looking at the snugpak softie kestral 6. 1200g, comfort rated to 0deg.
maybe a good one.
i've had experience of snugpak's stuff before, and it seems well made ( and this bag is made in the uk, if that matters to you ).
