If you like Indian the Raj Mahal in Redcliffe is good ( use it a lot for takeaways and sometimes a sit down). Go over Redcliffe Hill towards Bedminster and turn left at the roundabout - it's just along there next to the school.
Otherwise loads of places to eat on the harbourside, 5-10 mins walk from Redcliffe.
The Thekla does good food, there's Mud Dock, the Arnolfini, and a whole bunch of other eateries around the Floating Harbour, which is closest to Redcliffe.
The Ostrich or The Shakespeare for simple pub food in an olde worlde pub.
Is Byzantium still open? Severn shed also? Ganesh is a short walk away on Bedminster parade is an excellent south Indian curry. I left 3 years ago though so things may have changed.
