Went for a long ride yesterday. The present Mrs Militant "The Rose of The Wyre" didn't come with me as we have got another ride planned today and two days in a row was a bit much for her.
Before I left, she told me that when I got back to her flat I should leave my muddy bike downstairs in the secure hall and she would wash it later.
I thought I must have misheard and she meant she would show me where the downstairs neighbour kept the hose so I could wash it.
I got back, got in the shower, then heard her arrive back from wherever she had been.
I got out the shower and she came back upstairs a few minutes later and said "I've washed your bike, you'll need to dry it before you carry it up".
I went downstairs and sure enough, there was my bike all shiny clean.
How cool is that ? A girlfriend who washes my bike for me. 🙂
I wonder how many STW women get the same treatment from their men, and never post about it? 😉
I've offered to hose my wife down after a muddy ride but she's always refused me...

A mate was recently bragging about how good it was that his mrs gets up at five on a Sunday morning to make him poached eggs and bacon before we head off to Brechfa.... no one has seen him for 3 months.
What a nice lady. Mrs Hillsplease won't broach such things, but enlists the children to hose me down post ride, whic hisa as close as it gets. Thankfully it's really warm at the moment.
She definitely wants something - get the excuses prepped...

My girlfriend asked if she could come round to mine for the evening tomorrow night while I'm out riding because her housemate has family staying over and wants to borrow her room.
"I'll bring food" she said. She must have misread my pleasantly amazed look because she upped her offer with "I'll run you a lovely bath too..."
Always one to try and push my luck, I put on my best "I'm-not-so-sure-it's-a-good-idea" face, so she offered to wear the lingerie I bought her for Christmas and wait for me in bed...
Result!

Well Mr MC ALWAYS cleans my bike but then my duty is making him cups of tea, sorting out the camelbaks and cooking tea. I think it's a top deal and he would NEVER let me clean his bike! thinks I'm rubbish at it!
