I have a little used Berghaus shell jacket, nothing fancy material wise. i think its Aquafoil, anyway its lost all of its water repellency. Can anyone recommend a product that will make it bead again?

Nikwax or Grangers both sell suitable stuff, wash-in if it doesn't have a lining, spray-on if it does. Wash first with a technical cleaner from the same brands or use pure liquid soap and follow the instructions on the bottle. Sorted.

tried nikwax on goretex jacket. after 3 reproofs (18 mths- 2yrs apart), it was still waterproof but not breathable

Ah, cheers for that. This particular jacket was never breathable so just looking to get it proofed again.
