Just got to head office 2hr drive this morning and had a call to say our local office had been broken into over the weekend, scene of crimes officer wants to know if anything gone.

So 2 hour drive back, our office door has been kicked in and cupboards/drawers/laptop bag (empty) all routed around in. We are pretty lucky as I had taken everything home to work on over the weekend.

Other offices have had laptops etc nicked, but the offices are trashed! These guys werent messing, doors completely off hinges, partitions kicked through to get in rooms etc its goinf to take weeks to put it all back together!

Why cant they do like the movies and bring 'fingers' freddy with them to pick the locks? They probvably only ended up with gear worth a few hundred quid to them, but its going to cost thousands to sort the offices.

grrrr

(ps sorry for the lack of adrenalin in my rant but I used it all on the bike yesterday)

The clue is in the name - thieving scum.

I live in fear of a night-time burglary again even though I think our bikes are safe. Partly because of the invasion of ones personal sanctuary, but also because we'll have to pay to fix the f*cking door again 🙁

CPO once told me never to lock internal doors as the bad guys will just kick them down and cause lots more damage.

Why not just leave everything of value outside by the door and let them all just help themselves then?

RF on/off operated claymores, can be a tad difficult if you forget your keys though.

Had my house broken into years ago and the toe rag who did it (he got caught eventually) spray painted my lounge and dinning room (walls, ceilings and carpets) because "I wanted to piss him off 'cause I didn't get anything good".

like when your car gets nicked (in the olden days at least). It'll often turn up two miles down the road but because they broke the steering lock you'd have a 500 quid bill to foot.

Had a call this morning from a friend who went skiing on Saturday and not back until next weekend. Their house was broken into last night basically just to get his car (Audi RS4).
Had a go at the front door, then forced a window at the back.
Turned over their bedroom for jewelery, etc and then took the car (and a couple of nice watches) using the keys which I think were in the bedroom.
I've just been to change his locks.
Absolute gits....... what more can you say.

Richc- the steering wheel may have been stolen for the airbag. I heard that it is a quite common thing to steal.

its was a very old corsa, no air bag, just a normal plastic steering wheel.
