How many USB ports are there, and where?
Just had a rental B8 for the last week - there's one in front of the gearstick, hidden under a wee retractable tray. There's one inside the centre console armrest.
We used both of those. Although there may be more USB ports inside the glove box alongside the CD player and SD slots.

Not all are the same, some have one in the ashtray and some don't, my GTE doesn't and I need to order a cigarette lighter plug in as above to charge my phone when mounted on the screen

@davosaurusrex Ah. I’ll have to wait and see then. Wasn’t planning on there being an ashtray and in the wife’s Golf this means there’s a USB port and cubby where the ashtray would be.
