In north devon and it is pissing it down, how long till the news talks of flooding?

depends if the rain is warm enough to melt the snow.
It rained/sleeted here all night but its just refrozen and made the roads treacherous!!

Yep, when the three inches of snow melt with the help of a half inch of rain houses will be flooded to a depth of, oooh, I dunno, about a damp carpet?
Up here in North Wilts the ice has turned to really slippy slush. Bugger to walk on.
