Oh font of all knowledge

Been trying to identify Christmas presents for my darling daughter, whereby all attempts so far have to identify a suitable gift have been met with typical teenage feedback... However after another drowned out tv programme and half shouted conversation trying to discuss plans for the weekend while she wafted around a screaming hair drier and said 'what' a lot, I think I may have a plan that she will like and will actually carry some benefits for me (ie. In being able to hear the tv or radio, not in trying to dry my bald head)

So, is there a Hair drier on the market that is decent at drying out a full head of 'because I'm worth it' flowing locks, but does not sound like a Vulcan bomber taking off?

It also occurs to me that cordless Hairdriers would be the way of the future, but she'd never remember to recharge the 'king thing anyway 🙄

Wife has an eco one that is remarkably quiet but blows out lukewarm air and takes ages to dry her hair.

This one; http://www.amazon.co.uk/BaByliss-5137U-Eco-Hair-Dryer/dp/B001CLY9IK

HTH

I can't imagine that it does. Unless of course Z-11 was really wanting to know how to operate three hair dryers at the same time 😕

I use one of these, and it's practically silent.

ghd ones are pretty good - both in the fact that they are not as noisy as some and actually work well.

Mind you, my hair is quite short now, anyway.

Unfortunately, any attempt at suggesting a haircut is met with the sort of withering look that only her mother previously gave me 😀

so far it seems even James Dyson hasn't managed to get beyond the prototype stage

How about buying her a Dyson Airblade and mounting it horizontally?
Shove her head in it for 10s..... Et Voilá

(does not condone said behaviour and has obviously not done it to own daughter)

you guys laugh, but the first thing I bought Mrs Stoner to be when we moved in together was a low noise hairdryer.
Remarkably it's still going, but then it's less important now as it's banished to the spare bedroom. And she is required to close the door too 🙂

FWIW it's a Nicky Clark NCD9, but since I got it 10+ years ago, I doubt they make it anymore.
