Is cold calling allowed during this pandemic ?. Just had someone from 'switch' looking for me to change suppliers. Its a buzzer entry, and the guy said he was to do with the energy group, investigating an energy spike.
Me expecting someone from Scottish power finds someone trying to sell me something. The spike turned out to be a spike in costs. What a complete joke.
Sent him packing but he then goes around the neighbours, 6 flats, and will likely be going on to do the street of a couple of hundred homes and likely a few streets.
He has a face shield on, but is that really enough, especially if he finds people who want to switch, because there could be some contact there.
This is in Scotyland, and far as I can see under our current alert condition, you can only come into contact with 4 outside households, outwith family.

Aberdeen excepted, isn't your public transport running? Your shops, pubs and restaurants, places of work open? It's quite hard to do any of those things without coming into some sort of contact with more than 4 households.
Can said cold caller work from home? Did they enter your home?
It's not a cold.
It's not a flu either.
We need to spare a thought for door-to-door scammers during these difficult times.
An idiot from TV licencing (Capita) rocked up at mine yesterday. It was a 5 second conversation.

Here's a thought for them.....
"Just piss off and leave me alone."

Aye, but its not just 4 or 5 or even 100 is it ?, its probably going to be many hundreds đŸ˜• Now in a shop the staff would expect to see many people, and they have masks mostly, and the ability to use a sanitizer.
Stranger visiting every house in your area and arriving at your doorstep i really dont think many would be too happy, especially as some in the house are still there due to living in isolation due to age/health. Stranger arrives - origin unknown.
Don't you think đŸ˜•
Pandemic or not, sounds potentially fraudulent, attempting to gain access by deception. I'd report it to 101, police non-emergency, on that basis.
If they decide it's also out of order for pandemic reasons they can act on that too.
