Ok so a month a go i lost my iphone 4 insurandce replaced it so all good.
So yesturday my mate turns up with my phone which he found while cleaning out his car tucked down the bk seat!
so as it is it's a really nice ipod.
So im woundering is is possable to get it unnetwork locked so it can be used as a phone again?? if so how or who.
Thx guys for any help.

my net work don't want it bk have contacted them insurance paid and it's ll sorted so im free and clear on that one thanks.

Can't the network unlock it then? Or does it now belong to the insurance company?

did'nt really get any info regards that, the guy kinda inplied that you got a nice ipod there mate and that was that.. hence why im asking
It's not like im gonna sell it! was thinking of giving it to my niece if not as the man said it's a nice ipod .

It can still be used abroad, your network can only blacklist it in the uk.
Outside the uk it's a perfect working i phone and worth good money.

Actually pete it can do everything but call out hence the ipod comments fom me and the guy on the phone so a 16gig ipod touch...

godzilla> yes its only blocked in the UK, but it would still be locked to the UK network it was on, so still no use really as software unlock isnt an option unless its an old baseband or you use a sim interposer but theyre unreliable and ios 5 took care of them too.

Yes it can be in most cases, your network should be able & willing to unlock it.

Alternatively, you can try the old reset to factory setting trick and then a reboot from a dead phone.
