I was watching GCN when they did their Zwift race and they talked about team tactics.

But in the virtual world is there any aero assistance ? Or are you just spinning in your garage all on your own. Does the program actually ease off the strain if you sit behind another virtual rider ?

It does on RGT, not sure about Zwift but expect it does. RGT shows you your Watts saving.

Zwift does assuming the event has drafting turned on.

It can be turned on and off by event organiser

When it's off it actually makes races more interesting as breaks form. Where as when it's on a break is damn near impossible (within a group of reasonably match riders)

@trail_rat think your talking about double draft. Only events that there is no draft is TT and that I think is a property of the bike rather than event.

@trimix yes there is a draft. On zwift insider there is an article that shows the savings. Its not that the program eases off the strain but that you need to output less to stay with the bunch.

Ah, OK that makes sense then.

Not that I use Zwift, (although that may change looking at the weather, shite trails and pandemic) but now I understand it.

You are right sorry it's the double draft nonsense that is a pain
