I've got a few friends coming down over Christmas to sample the delights of the Quantocks. Any ideas on some bike friendly accomodation nearby?

two that spring to mind are Rose & Crown at Nether Stowey or the Hood Arms at Kilve .

Sharki is the man you need to talk to tho...

I'm here and those two crispy states are good options, the Hood being a little Posh and pricey(but you get what you pay for.

The Kings head in Cannington will accommodate cyclists.
The other good B&B in Nether Stowey is the old cider house

Parsonage farm in over stowey would welcome bikers too iirc..

Or for a group booking try the coach house [/ul]in Bicknoller, for self catering sleeps up to 6 i think.

Stayed in Rose & Crown last month and was very good but not grand. Nice rooms, bike store, hose pipe, great beer and v friendly punters and owner. Breakfast and evening meals were good too. Would def go back.

If you can cope with REALLY rufty tufy conditions.

http://www.independenthostelguide.co.uk/selected-accommodation.php?hostel=campbell+room+group+accommodation&area=16&s=1&t=somerset

parking for about 4 cars
2 small bedrooms with bunks and lots of mattresses
does have gas ch
firepit out back, also maybe new girls dorm ??
Cooking facilities, internal bike security...
Walk to village.

On a brights summers day, early in the morning (thanks sharki) you can hear a stream burbling, horses clopping along and sit on the verandah eating a bacon and egg sandwich whilst viewing a very distant Glastonbury Tor.

*ps over Xmas I reckon it'll be BLOODY FREEZING ?????????????
